Let your adventure begin at Raspberry Castle. This three story tall tower has been hand constructed from bricks fired in Medicine Hat, Alberta. John Jensen, a Danish engineer / bricklayer designed our wonderful castle with his family in the 70's. We are a group of friends who spent the two years modernizing and renovating the entire building to make it as comfortable as possible. 

The castle has a basement relaxation area with bookshelves, couches, chairs; a perfect place for board games or quiet reading. There is a smart tv with a Roku device. The TV is very light and can be easily carried anywhere in the castle for your enjoyment. The couch in the basement folds out into a queen bed if the additional sleeping space is needed.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms. One room has bunkbeds, another has a queen bed, and the main bedroom has a queen bed featuring a tapestry / bed canopy hand painted by one of Raspberry Castle owners . This floor also has the bathroom complete with a stone shower!

The second floor has the beautiful dining area as well as a newly renovated kitchen with granite counter top. The kitchen is complete with oven, stove top, microwave, fridge, and double sink and lots of counterspace available to accommodate any meals you want to make while enjoying your stay. And of course there's a coffee maker and electric kettle so you can enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea in the morning while watching the birds and squirrels scurry throughout the evergreens.  Outside our bbq is available to use as well. 

Raspberry Castle is heated via a gas furnace, guests are welcome to enjoy the fireplace in the second floor living room. 

At the very top of the spiral stairs you'll find the roof top patio featuring lovely views of the surrounding forest and Red Deer Lake. The rooftop patio also has a fireplace. The fire can get really hot which makes it possible to brave the cold winter days or nights for those who are willing to try. Please refrain from smoking anywhere on the rooftop patio.

If that wasn't enough places to have a fire, you're also welcome to use our beachfront fire pit surrounded by a large stone wall orientated perfectly for the beautiful sunsets. Afterwards, you can enjoy the amazing night skies and (sometimes) northern lights, from the rooftop fireplace, while an owl hoots away in the distance. 

Raspberry Castle is best enjoyed as a relaxing getaway to spend with close friends or with your family. There is a small community of people who live in the neighbourhood all year long so we kindly ask you to respect them by following the house rules. Red Deer Lake is beautiful to look at but not suitable for swimming or boating as it has receded a lot in the last year
